FAQ For Subcontractors

Job Site Policies

  1. Job sites are opened Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm. If you need to be on site before or after hours during the day of your scheduled site work please contact the field supervisor.
  2. All trade specialty contractors that require permits for their scope of work (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.) must provide copies of all permits prior to the commencement of their site work. Permit copies can be emailed to autumn@walkerhomebuilders.net 
  3. Contractors are responsible for referencing working plans and blue books provided on this website before they begin field work. This allows us to ensure that all contractors are working with the most up to date information.
  4. Contractors and their field representatives are responsible for maintaining a clean work site. From the commencement of construction all Walker Homes are working models and are subject to site visits by buyers and should be maintained as such. Trash bins and brooms are provided for your convenience. Construction debris must be disposed of in designated areas only. These areas will afront the road and will be indicated with a large orange circle or X. Failure to comply with site maintenance will result in back charges for clean up.
  5. Alcohol is strictly prohibited on all job sites. The possession or consumption of alcohol on any jobsite by a contractor and/or their field representatives or hired workman will result in the immediate termination of their contract.
  6. The strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations on all jobsites is required. It is the responsibility of the contractor to ensure property training of their field representatives. Billing Policies

  1. Remit all invoices to accounting@walkerhomebuilders.net
  2. Invoices must be remitted on or before the 25th of each month to be included in the following months payables. Invoices received after the 25th will be remitted with the next payable cycle. For example, if you submit your invoice on/before January 25th your payment will be issued on February 10th. If you submit your invoice after January 25th your payment will be issued March 10th. 
  3. Invoices must include the Lot/Block number and the project name (i.e. 12/2 Outback Ranches) 
  4. Invoices must be limited to one lot/block per invoice. Invoices which include multiple lots/blocks will not be processed. Walker Homebuilders will not be responsible for payment delays which result from this error.
  5. Services provided outside the scope of work and not included in original contract pricing must be invoiced separately and labeled AC (additional charge). This would include additional surcharges, work related to change orders, requested repairs, etc. (i.e. An installed product is damaged and a repair is requested. A separate invoice must be submitted and labeled as such. i.e. 12/2 Outback Ranches  AC)
